This elderberry cordial made from the berries growing on our elderberry bush in the chook pen looks and tastes beautiful. It is so brightly coloured and Jasmine added ginger and a splash of pineapple juice.

Christmas at Home Cottage!

Only home made gifts under the tree this year: like hats from my own spun wool, soy candles, dreadlock scarves, felted needlebooks and dried fruits in riesling. We made the gift tags from the brown card that the gift wrap was rolled around .

Plenty of food at Home Cottage!

Sticking seeds and seedlings everywhere several weeks ago has certainly paid off! There is silverbeet to harvest, little tomatoes, so many herbs, zuchinni and button squash. The sweet corn is growing and there is heaps of Chinese stir fry greens growing with a few weeks to go until harvest time. The cos lettuces and parsley are still a bit small and I am hoping to harvest the pumpkin for New Year.
