Bag completed!

I am very happy with my little bag and it only took a day to make!

Felted and drying!

Now to find the handles,

Piece completed!

Now to felt in the washing machine,

Weaving the bag!

Colour is starting to appear, not long to go now,

Warp up the loom!

Ready to start weaving,

Then I spun it!

A nice thick single with merino wool,

Making a bag on my rigid heddle loom.

From start to finish here is how I made a bag:

First I picked out some nice colourful wool,

Not enough cats for our hats!

Here is the brand new lot of hats created here at Home Cottage. All our Adults hats listed are $20 AUS, well worth the quality, effort and pride we take in designing and making our wares.
ENJOY!

Stripe-a-licous! Strawberries that make the whole world stop and take notice. Made from spun Merino, this hat is what we like to call the 'comfy' size. Perfect - one word. You may even start speaking in rhyme!

You will spend so much time feeling this cap, you'll scarsely have time to wear it! Created from a blend of Alpaca, Merino and Mohair/Angora goat, you'll want to wear it because it looks so good!

100% pastel merino is the melting point of this hat. Wear it and your head will be in the clouds!

This bell-topped wonder is like the old days of fadded wood and shiny brass! Made from spun Merino, Alpaca and Mohair/Angora goat. Need to accentuate your answer to a question? Simply nod or shake your head with as much exhuberance as this hat, and hey presto - you've got the sound of Bewitched!

Teacosy inspired purple-puff beanie, made from 100% spun merino. It's long enough for that eccentricity to shine - show no cuff,

- a little cuff, or a lot!

This just tops it all off - made from 100% spun merino, it is marbled in oh-so-tasty black, teal and brown gradients.

The eye-catching black vintage button sets off this Merino mix Alpaca and Mohair/Angora goat cap, filtered with dots of colour throughout.

For the Eco-warrior in us all! This battle beanie combats the mass over-use of plastic bags, spun in a funky pattern of blues and whites, with a bitsy front cuff made from grey and cream plastic! Keeps your head extra warm, and makes a well deserved statement!

You'll feel like flying in this soft-as-anything mixed beanie. Spun from merino wool, splattered with colourful Mohair/Angora goat and long enough to be extra comfy-

- Or tidy-tight! And you thought it couldn't get better... Can you say, bell?!

One of our favourite hats, these 'construction' colours are not only great on guys, but on chicks with attitude! Made from spun 100% Merino, this is one powerful hat!

Mmm vintage buttons are the cherrie-on-top for this delicious choc-caramel marble beanie, with specks of bubblegum blue on the crest. Made from spun Alpaca, Merino and Mohair/Angora goat.

This Festival inspired beanie is made from spun 100% Merino in deep rainbow colours. It has been knitted with a double-strength cuff, which is not predominant. The length can be left down -

Or up!

Too much rain!

This is the only happy creature at Home Cottage! He is the only one not sick of the rain!

My new loom!

Look at this beautiful 60cm Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom! Thank you Kerry for ordering it for me! I am going to call this scarf pumpkin because it reminds me of a pumpkin on the vine, all orange and green leaves.
